Maluma achieved fame thanks to reggaeton, a genre with which he became one of the most famous stars in Latin America, and which led him to collaborate with celebrities such as Madonna.
However, the Colombian singer made it clear on social networks that he does not like the recent popularity of the lying down corridos, genre that exponents such as Featherweight have popularized in the world.
“And now everyone singing corridos tumbaos”, he wrote on his official Twitter account.
The comment of the interpreter of “Felices los 4” immediately generated controversy in this social network, especially for the relationship of the latest Featherweight collaborations with Becky G or Bad Bunny with Grupo Frontera.
As expected, many of his Mexican followers reacted angrily, considering that This genre is one of the most characteristic in Mexican culture, for which it deserves to be respected.
“Don’t be so envious, why don’t you try to hit a song better” or “the one who sang popular said it”, were some of the comments. In fact, the last comment made reference to the occasion in which Maluma himself ventured into the genre with the song “Acá entre nos”, along with Pipe Bueno and Grupo Firme.
