CANBERRA – A 48-year-old woman was found alive after being lost for five days in the wilderness Australia . He survived by eating candy and drinking a bottle of wine.
Lillian Ip went on a trip last Sunday. He traveled through the dense bush in the state of Victoria.
But he then realized he had hit a dead end after taking a wrong turn, and his vehicle was stuck in the mud.
Ip – who doesn’t drink – only has a bottle of wine in the car as he plans to give it as a gift.
After five nights of being stranded, he was found by emergency services on Friday as they flew overhead as part of the search.
“The first thing that came to my mind I thought ‘water and a cigarette’,” Ip told 9News Australia quoted from BBC, Tuesday (9/5/2023).
“Thank God the policewoman has cigarettes,” he added.
“I thought I was going to die there. My whole body died on Friday,” he said, adding that he was “going to give up”.
As she lost hope of being found alive, she wrote letters to her family saying she loved them.
