Last year was a special one for fans of Konami and Silent Hill in particular, as the long-awaited return of the franchise was announced. Some rumors indicated that Konami was planning to collaborate with different companies to revive the brand and little by little they turned out to be true; in fact, an unusual cosmetic association has just been confirmed.
Nearly all of the Silent Hill games on the way are being made by outside studios like Bloober Team, No Code, and Behavior Interactive, but apparently the company after keeping Silent Hill dormant for many years is serious now that for Fin has realized that there is a lot of interest in IP. And Konami makes it clear in their most recent collaboration on Silent Hill, which involves makeup.

What is the Silent Hill cosmetics collection?
You read that right, Konami has just teamed up with makeup company Vampyre Cosmetics to launch an official makeup collection inspired by the horror franchise.
Vampyre Cosmetics is a company located in Los Angeles specializing in makeup. Its founder and CEO, Rachel Clinesmith, is a veteran in the business, having been responsible for makeup in horror movies and haunted houses.
Unfortunately, the announcement was somewhat premature, as no product images or collaboration details were shown. However, we know that, like the other products of the company, those of the Silent Hill collaboration will be vegan and free of talc, in addition to the fact that animal cruelty will not be used to make them.
“Vampyre Cosmetics combines unique packaging and nostalgic imagery in a way that makes people say ‘wow,'” the business description reads. “Each and every product is created with a rigorous focus on evoking an emotional response, making Vampyre Cosmetics the one to bring this collection to life and thrill fans who have played the game since 2001.”

It is not the first time that Konami announces a collaboration related to Silent Hill away from video games. The company has provided the license to launch collections of clothing and other accessories.
Anyway, Silent Hill fans, we know it’s not what you expected, but rejoice, as this is better than the series being forgotten or only remembered through pachinkos.
