Kiev hits Moscow again with drones, two buildings hit. Russia Condemns: “Ukrainian Terrorism”
Moscow awakens under drone attack. Less than a month after the demonstration assault against the Kremlin, eight unmanned aircraft reached the Russian capital, where they were shot down by anti-aircraft and electronic systems. The Russian Defense Ministry did not hesitate to point the finger at the “Kiev regime”, accused of having launched a “terrorist attack”. Charges rejected by the Ukrainian presidency, which through the councilor Mykhailo Podolyak said it was in any case “pleased” to “foresee an increase in the number of attacks. Although obviously we have had nothing to do directly ”.
Emergency services told Ria Novosti news agency that two residential buildings in the southern part of the city were hit. According to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, two people had to seek medical treatment, without being hospitalized. “According to the health services, at the moment none of the residents of the houses damaged by the drones are seriously injured,” the mayor of Moscow said.
Of a total of eight drones, the Russian Defense Ministry said, three were knocked out by electronic warfare systems, then “lost control and deviated from intended targets”. Five others, according to a statement, were shot down “by the Pantsir-S surface-to-air missile system”.
An apparent response to the continuous drone attacks that Russia is launching against Kiev itself. For the third time in a row, the Ukrainian capital was hit by Russian aircraft last night, killing a 33-year-old woman. Nine more people were injured in the capital and 4 more in the region, according to Kiev police chief Ivan Vyhovsky. In this latest attack, 31 drones were used, of which according to the command of the Ukrainian air force, 29 were shot down. The command specified that the raid was conducted with Iranian-made Shahed drones and lasted from 11pm: 30 at 4:30 this morning.
