Yet the end of the tunnel, which seemed to have no end, is finally in sight for Renate and Jeroen. “No amount of money can take away our suffering,” says Jeroen. He is referring to the difficult years they have had, with two daughters as the low point, who closed the door of the parental home behind them because of the misery years ago.
