A regular French Lotto player managed to take home the Easter jackpot worth 18 million euros thanks to the usual ticket. That series of numbers that the man had been playing every week for more than ten years full of hope: 3, 11, 14, 18, 24 and the lucky number 10.
As reported by the local media, this time the card played in a shopping center in the city of Argentan led to winnings of 18 million, the Easter jackpot which was initially 10 million euros, but which increased as it was not collected in the draw of last April 8.
La Française des jeux (Fdj), the company that holds the monopoly of lotteries and betting on French territory, has handed over the large check to the winner and his wife in recent days. “Usually we are quite unlucky – said the man – but now life reciprocates us in this way. On the night of the draw I looked at the numbers drawn on the mobile application and immediately recognized that they were my lucky numbers. I shouted to my wife: ‘we are millionaires’, and I woke her up”. At first the woman thought it was a joke by her husband, but after checking her cell phone she realized that it was all true: after 10 years of coupons, they had become millionaires.
