Milestone and Mattel announce Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged, the sequel to the 2021 racing game, coming to all platforms this fall.
No sooner said than done. A few days ago the sequel to Hot Wheels Unleashed, the remarkable speed game from Mattel and Milestone released in 2021… which is now official. At the end of the year a spectacular sequel will arrive with more cars, environments and exciting races.
Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is the natural next step for the IP. Both Mattel and Milestone are happy about the success of the original game, which sold more than 2 million copies.

Hot Wheels, full speed… second part
Milestone and Mattel have announced Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, an even bigger, more spectacular and frenetic sequel. Best of all, its launch is scheduled for next October.
This sequel incorporates new mechanics for vehiclesas well as more varied environments, new game modes, and new online features.
Its specific release date is October 19and will have physical and digital versions on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, like the 2021 game.
First things first: Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 Turbocharged features more than 130 vehicles, including motorcycles and ATV cars. Once again we will have the Stock, Powered and Ultimate classes, as well as a complete editor of skins and abilities.
We have inserted a gallery with up to 12 iconic cars that will be in this sequel, but it’s just a small taste of what Turbocharged has to offer.
Another great novelty is the greatest variety of environments and circuits. This second installment will have larger tracks, with more interaction, and above all with various surfaces that will vary the driving style.
Drifting and jumping, fundamental bases in Hot Wheels Unleashed, have been significantly improved. From Milestone they ensure that each ability can be used to take advantage of the circuit.

Local split-screen multiplayer returns. Cross play on PlayStation, Xbox and PC (Switch is not supported). Cross save between all platforms (for editors). Campaign mode with four new characters, animated cutscenes and an original story. Track Editor and Livery Editor, much more ambitious than in Hot Wheels Unleashed.
We still need to know more information about the editions of this sequel. According to a recent leak, there will be three different editions, including various car and cosmetic packs.
