The tenth edition of Hot Sale starts this May 29, with nine days in which More than 600 brands and companies will offer their products and services with discounts during the great online sale in Mexico.
According to Kantar, a consulting and insights agency, among the expectations for this edition, it stands out that Mexicans, like last year, maintain certain preferences and the products they continue to gain greater relevance this year are clothing and shoes, with 55% against 49% a year ago, that is, six growth points and maintains the first position.
Other categories are cell phones (39% against 43%) and articles related to home appliances (33% against 38%), with drops of some points, but they are still in the preference of Mexicans.
Another category that stands out is that of computer articles (31%), while 29% of consumers will be looking to purchase something related to large electronics, such as televisions, video game consoles y gaming related items.
According to Kantar, the category of food and alcoholic beverages (20% against 16%) grew four points compared to last year.
Besides, 19% will take advantage of discounts and interest-free months to purchase a luxury product or premium brandsand 14% will look for promotions and discounts related to vacations, a category that grew five percentage points against the previous year.
The Hot Sale has grown since its creation, “and has not only given a boost to strengthen e-commerce in our countrybut that the brands have a commitment to satisfy the expectations of the consumers during this week”, indicated Kantar, since 54% plan the purchase of the product and where they are going to buy it.
For 56% of the mexicans he find lower prices than normal, attractive promotions (55%) and short delivery times (45%) are the most important aspects to decide in which store to buy during these days.
Kantar mentions that consumers are not only looking for good prices and promotions, since 63% look for the quality of the products, 48% investigate that they have an additional discount, 46% that they have a guarantee and 42% that the product is available for that they do not have setbacks with the deliveries.
