For this reason, the Ministry of Security launched a series of recommendations to citizens and Internet users seeking to take advantage of this period of promotionsto consider the necessary measures in order to keep safe from those people who take advantage of the flow of bank data to commit fraud and data theft.

Be wary of excessively low prices or unrealistic promotions
Use private connection networks and own devices
Verify that the store’s website has a padlock at the beginning of the web address
Check that the address is the original, checking that the name is spelled correctly and consulting reviews from other users
Avoid sharing card and identification data

It also recommended that after the purchase made, the user verify that the charge to his card is for the correct amount, avoiding making payments or deposits to third-party accounts, as well as requesting and keeping the receipts for each of the acquisitions.
