SIEM REAP – A livestock boss in Cambodia was pounced on 40 crocodile pets and eaten alive. The tragic incident occurred when he was trying to catch one of his reptiles.
“The crocodile pounced on him, attacked him until he died,” the police chief of the Siem Reap commune, Mey Savry, told Viral Press.
The boss of the crocodile farm is Luan Nam (72). The scene of the incident is in the Siem Reap commune.
The victim entered the cage to catch and remove one of the crocodiles from the cage where it was laying eggs.
“Things turned disastrous after the animal attacked the stick he was using, causing it to fall into the cage,” said Savry.
Suddenly, the boss of the farm was attacked by 40 of his pets, which tore his body apart. The dozens of reptiles rushed scatteringly covered in blood.
Images taken from the scene show dozens of crocodiles paddling through a pool of Nam’s blood, and video depicts officers removing bodies from the scene.
According to police, Nam’s body was riddled with bite marks, and he reportedly lost both his arms and legs, which had been swallowed by the crocodile during the gruesome attack.
The victim’s crushed body was then transported to the family home.
According to a CBS report Saturday (5/27/2023), Nam, who is also president of the local crocodile breeders’ association, has been pressured for years to get out of the business.
