The Game of Thrones spin-off series centered on Jon Snow has received a disappointing update.
Executive Vice President of Programming HBO, Frances Bears, spoke to Deadline about the various Game of Thrones spinoff shows, one of them being Jon Snow’s. Orsi confirmed that the series is still in development, but clarified that the spinoff has not yet been greenlit and is in the early stages.
“We’re just working deep with the writers to get him in shape for a possible green light, but at this point, no, there’s no determination on whether he can go all the way.”
The spin off was announced last year with Kit Harington as protagonist and producer. However, we haven’t had any information on the Jon Snow series since then, the only thing Harington has said is that the show will focus on how Jon has to deal with trauma from his past. George R.R. Martin commented that the writers’ strike paralyzed the production of a project that is set in the world of Game of Thronesalthough the author did not mention if he was referring to the Jon Snow show.
