Regional Mexican music has become the music of the world, with unexpected popularity that is sweeping the charts in places as far away as Japan and South Korea.
Performers like Featherweight or Natanael Cano have brought to international fame a genre that has always opened debates in Mexico, for issues ranging from classism to the controversy of organized crime.
That is why, beyond the criticisms and controversies, it is expected to reconcile, because finally it is our music, and that is the reason for the “Arre HSBC” festival, in which the most representative artists of the Mexican regional will be presented in Mexico City, in a two-day celebration that will bring together the “most Mexican” music: norteño, mariachi, cumbias, corridos tumbados, and banda.

“We invite you to exalt our culture and its roots with the representation of the most important Mexican music festival in the world”HSBC announced in a statement.
The festival format has gained popularity in Mexico over the years, and they are massive gatherings where many artists can be enjoyed at the same time. In Mexico there are several that are already indisputable classics: Vive Latino, Corona Capital, among many others. Rock festivals, electronic music, but never one dedicated specifically to the Mexican regional, and all the genres that it contains.

“The regional is our identity, it is in the most important moments for us, very happy that a woman and other colleagues are in this festival”expressed the singer Majo Aguilar in this regard, one of the artists who will be present at Arre HSBC.
Arre HSBC will be held at the Autodromo de los Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, on September 9 and 10 of this year. The artists headlining the bill are, of course, Featherweight, Natanael Cano, Los Tigres del Norte and Caballo Dorado; Ramón Ayala, The Hurricanes of the North, Alicia Villareal, the Chiquis Rivera, the Cadetes de Linares and the Sonora Dinamita, among many others.
