PlayStation 5 is being a success and PlayStation 4 is already one of the best-selling consoles in history. However, just because Sony’s consoles sell well doesn’t mean the company always makes the best decisions for its fans. With the release of the PlayStation 5, the company was criticized for not selling an acclaimed remaster separately, but that’s about to change.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Sony announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have a prequel comic, but that wasn’t their only announcement. It turns out that they are also planning to offer Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered for PlayStation 5 to all players who want to buy it.
In case you didn’t know, when Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered debuted, it did so as part of the Ultimate Edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. So, if you wanted to play this version that harnesses the power of the PlayStation 5 (and also changes Peter Parker’s face) you were forced to buy that version of the Miles Morales adventure.
Luckily, that’s about to change and before the end of the month Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will arrive as a stand-alone product on the PlayStation Store. So, you can pay $49.99 USD to buy this game and enjoy it in its retouched version.
But what if you already have Marvel’s Spider-Man? Don’t worry, you won’t have to pay $49.99 USD to get this version. Anyone who owns any version of Marvel’s Spider-Man for PS4 will be able to pay $10 USD to upgrade to the remastered version. It is worth mentioning that this promotion does not apply to those who got the game with PlayStation Plus.
