Star Wars Jedi: Survivor debuted a couple of weeks ago. Although its launch was far from perfect, everything seems to indicate that it had a good commercial performance during its first days on the market.
During the latest earnings call with investors, Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, discussed the initial performance of the Respawn Entertainment video game. Without disclosing data on units sold, he stated that they are very happy because the title has reached “millions” of people since its launch.

“In the first few weeks, millions of players joined Cal Kestis and BD-1 in their rebellion against the Empire (…) Regarding (Star Wars Jedi: Survivor), we are delighted. We made the bold decision to move the game 6 weeks to give the team a chance to really get to the quality they wanted,” Andrew Wilson said in the earnings call.
The executive complemented his response and assured that they built on the basis of Jedi: Fallen Order, the previous installment that debuted in 2019. In addition, he commented that the latest title was a very strong launch for the company and that, despite the fact that it is still too early, you think you will exceed business expectations.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the action-adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment debuted to rave reviews. The story was different on PC, as the port arrived on Steam with many performance issues that made it almost impossible to play at launch.
The developers acknowledged the issues and promised that they would work to provide a fix as quickly as possible. In the last few days, patches have arrived that fix the most annoying and prominent glitches. Even so, Cal Kestis’ new adventure received negative ratings from angry PC gamers.
