Saturation or not, the wheel of superhero movie and series premieres never stops.
Superheroes content is no longer as engaging as it was a few years ago, but that doesn’t mean it has lost all its fans. There are many people waiting for the premiere of new Marvel seriesas Echo. And the fans will rejoice Disney+ strategy changewhich “copy” one of Netflix’s pioneering ideas.
Echo is the spinoff or series derived from Hawk Eye. Maya Lopez returns to her hometown where she must come to terms with her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and dedicate herself to protecting her family and her community.
The new Marvel series has been produced by Marion Dayre, who also acts as a screenwriter. It is directed by Sydney Freeland. Actress Alaqua Cox reprises the role of Maya López / Echo that she already played in Hawkeye.
Also in the cast are Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene, Zahn McClarnon, Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox.
A Netflix-style Disney+ series
Echo will premiere on November 29 exclusively on Disney +but it will do it in a different way to how we are used to the mouse platform.
sure you remember the early years of netflix. One of its assets to attract subscribers is that premiered the complete seasons at once. This is how “marathons” became fashionable, fans who swallowed the entire season in one day, or a weekend.
But then the competition arrived, and the need not to lose users, so Netflix began to release its star series with weekly episodes, to hook fans to the subscription for at least a couple of months. Even so, it continues to be the platform that premieres the most series with complete seasons.
Disney+, for its part, has always released their Marvel and Star Wars seasons with 2 or 3 chapters, and then one weekly. It is true that there are some that launched with full seasons, but they are minor series or short episodes.
However, with Echo he is going to “mark a Netflix”because according to HobbyConsolas.com, will premiere the full season at once, on November 29.
It’s a strange decision, because it goes against the current trend of doing everything possible to keep users. Maybe Disney+ is very confident in itself, or recognizes that Echo is not a series with which you are going to gain subscribers.
In any case, if you are a fan of the saga, or of the superhero series, on November 29 you will be able to hit yourself an echo marathon, why its first season premieres in its entirety on the first day.
