Dicefolk, a single-player tactical roguelite that combines monster-collecting mechanics with dice-rolling, has been announced by Good Shepherd Entertainment. Its arrival is scheduled for this year on PC via Steam. Here is the announcement trailer of Dicefolk:
Developed by Leap and Tiny Ghoul, Dicefolk aims to offer us deep control over each battle through dice command and enemy turn order, two features to be exploited to obtain a tactical advantage. Beyond that it will also allow us to discover dozens of unique creatures to recruit and create the perfect team to win.
In the game world, Dicefolk are exceptional beings who can give birth to magical creatures – known as chimeras – from their library. But some chimeras are wreaking havoc. As a Dicefolk whose die-shaped artifacts can command any chimera, it’s up to the player to restore peace and harmony across the land in this roguelite adventure.
Main features:
Exciting roguelite adventure: collect new and more powerful chimeras to build your perfect team as you unlock talismans to uncover more of the story. Discover different chimera combinations to enable new strategies for each run with endless possibilities and replayability!
Take control of combat: you decide the fate of the dice! Command your chimeras as you choose the sides of the dice and the order in which each side performs its actions. Your choices will determine your success as you battle a variety of wild creatures in combat.
Master your chimeras: Recruit your team from a range of dozens of powerful monsters, from tough tanks to fast attackers and more. Each chimera offers a unique set of abilities to help you shape your strategy and adapt your playstyle to whatever challenge comes your way!
