Suara.com – The Special Criminal Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya continues to carry out investigations into the case of ticket fraud for the British band Coldplay’s concert. The results detected a group of perpetrators of fraud in the South Sulawesi region.
“We, the cyber sub-directorate, are conducting in-depth investigations or investigations. The results of the investigation found that the perpetrators were in an area in South Sulawesi,” said Head of Siber Unit 2 for Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya AKP Charles Bagaisar when met at Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday (31/5/2023) ).
Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya, he said, had sent a team to follow up on these findings so that they could immediately catch the conspirators.
“We have sent a team to follow up on these findings. Currently the team has departed for the area and we hope for prayers from colleagues so that the perpetrators can be caught. And we can make disclosures and find out behind the fraudulent mode,” he said.
Charles also explained that reports of losses varied from millions to hundreds of millions.
“Losses vary in the range of Rp. 10 million to hundreds of millions. At this time we are still investigating the alleged perpetrators who we are pursuing,” he explained.
To carry out the action, said Charles, the perpetrators used various modes, starting from entrustment services (jastip), then offering to buy tickets through social media, and also claiming to be people who have access to selling concert tickets.

Previously, it was reported that investigators from the Directorate of Cybercrime (Dittipidsiber) Bareskrim Polri examined two witnesses from the promoter of the Coldplay concert, PK Entertainment.
“Yesterday, Wednesday (24/5) a clarification examination was carried out by investigators from the Directorate of Cyber Police on the promoter,” said the Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police, Brigadier General Pol. Ahmad Ramadhan in Jakarta, Thursday.
Ramadhan said the two witnesses had the initials TH and HS from PK Entertainment as promoters of Coldplay concert tickets. Both were investigated for clarification regarding licensing and ticket sales mechanisms as well as supervision.
“The two people were examined or information was taken from 20.00 to 24.00 WIB with 20 questions,” said Ramadhan.
According to the one-star general, the investigation regarding the alleged criminal act of fraud in selling Coldplay concert tickets online via social media has not been completed and will still continue. (Between)
