The Witcher confirms its Season 5
Speaking to Deadline, Holland explained that filming for Season 4 began recently. So the team and the rest of the actors are already working alongside Liam Hemsworth, the new Geralt of Rivia.
To everyone’s surprise, the casting officer also confirmed that there will be a Season 5 after a short hiatus. “We’re about to start shooting season four with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a short hiatus, then we’ll jump straight into season five,” Holland said.
He was asked about Cavill’s departure, but refused to give an answer. Instead, she claimed to be excited by Liam’s work. Also, she added that Season 4 will be great as it will have new characters and familiar faces.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing what Liam brings us. He has many followers. Season four will be a nice mix of new characters and returning faces,” Holland concluded.
Fans are still upset about the change of actor for Geralt de Rivia, so they threatened to boycott Season 3, the first part of which will premiere later this month. Likewise, there are angry viewers who called for the cancellation of the series after Cavill’s departure. However, it is clear that Netflix will not throw in the towel and continue with the production for a long time.
