The wait is very close to over! Street Fighter 6, the latest installment in the fighting franchise, will hit stores around the world on June 2. We are a couple of days away from the official launch, so the excitement is palpable. However, in the last few hours, fans have expressed concern about the surprise implementation of a very controversial feature on PC.
We’re talking about the Denuvo anti-piracy system, which is infamous for causing PC titles to experience performance issues. While it’s not a guarantee that the fighting game will have technical issues due to this element, fans have already raised concerns.

Capcom confirms that Street Fighter 6 will have Denuvo on PC
The controversy lies in the fact that Capcom announced that Street Fighter 6 will have Denuvo a few days before the official release. In a recent archived version of Steam, it is noted that this anti-piracy system was not appearing on the game page. So it looks like it was added between May 30 and 31.
According to the statistical site Steam DB, the “Third Party Denuvo Anti-Tamper DMR” was added on May 30, just 3 days before the fighting game was released.

Naturally, a sector of the community has already expressed concern about this finding. This is not surprising, since we must remember that Resident Evil Village experienced problems during its release on PC due to this tool. Luckily, Capcom removed it from the horror game a few months ago, so the same could happen with the fighting title.
In any case, Street Fighter 6 received praise from the press and is already aiming to be one of the great candidates for the GOTY of 2023.
But tell us, what do you think of this situation? Do you think the community exaggerates? Do you think it is good to be worried? Let us read you in the comment box.
