According to reports, the next DLC of Cyberpunk 2077 called Phantom Liberty it will be released very soon. While part of that could be attributed to people’s expectations being unrealistic, the game was released in a very flawed manner that led to retailers offering mass refunds, the game was removed from the PlayStation Store for a while and months. of important patches.
Thankfully the game is better now and while some still think it’s not quite what was promised, it’s a solid and functional game. The studio has been quietly working on a great DLC for the game known as Phantom Liberty for some time now and officially announced it at The Game Awards.
Now, it looks like it could be released very soon. According to Polish podcasters Remigiusz Maciaszek (aka Rock) and Borys Nieśpielak, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty could be out in June or July. It’s already been confirmed that more information about the DLC will be shared at Summer Game Fest in June, but Borys noted that CDPR has been targeting June for a while and that sources told him it would release a month after the date was revealed. .
However, DLCs tend to have fairly short marketing cycles, as they don’t need as much publicity as a full game. It would be surprising if the DLC was shown extensively next month and didn’t have a date. It would be even more surprising if the release date was announced for something later than this summer due to how these marketing cycles tend to work.
