For the municipality of Deventer, the windfall is 3.6 million euros. According to a spokesman, the costs per refugee received per day are 17 euros lower than budgeted: “The costs of the reception places for the refugees from Ukraine are reimbursed by the government. This includes rent, living expenses, furnishing, security, cleaning, housing assistance and location management.”
