The Argentine is at great risk for the Champions League final, scheduled for June 10th. The Tucu grits his teeth and begins the therapies
Joaquin Correa’s dream of taking part, at least from the bench, in the Champions League final on June 10 in Istanbul against Manchester City is fading away. The Argentine suffered a muscle strain in the soleus of his right leg in the closing minutes of Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final. The annoyance was present yesterday too but the medical staff postponed the tests to see the evolution of the problem, in the hope that it was just fatigue. Instead, the clinical-instrumental checks to which the former Lazio player underwent not only highlighted a muscle strain, but also certified an injury. Two weeks before the Champions League final, the risk that Correa will have to miss the most awaited appointment is a real possibility. His conditions will be evaluated day after day, but in the meantime he has already started the appropriate therapies.
Bad luck
—
For Correa, the forfeit in Turkey would be… Oscar of bad luck given that he was excluded from the list of 26 players called up for the World Cup in Qatar a few days before the start. Then Messi and his teammates won that World Cup and Tucu was only a spectator. A real joke. For Inzaghi, who was thinking of using him tomorrow night against Atalanta, from the start or during the game, it’s a problem because now he won’t be able to rotate men as he would have liked. Lukaku will certainly play against the ex Gasperini and Lautaro will be alongside him.
