Statements to Radio Anch’io: “Bianconeri excluded from UEFA cups? Possible scenario”
“I think there will be something less than the 15 penalty points.” Evelina Christillin, who sits on the Fifa Council as a Uefa member and is a black and white fan, spoke to Radio Anch’io Sport on Rai Radio 1 about the sentence in the Court of Appeal expected for today on the capital gains case involving Juve.
The UEFA variable

“There is this concept of affliction that only concerns sports justice and not ordinary justice. It will probably be a penalty that should block the way to the Champions League,” Christillin added. “Now let’s remember that there are three European cups, but certainly the economic value of going to the Champions League or another cup is significant, they are almost 5 times as much. We will see if it will be 10, 11 or 13 points, for us Juventus players it is a good hit”. Christillin then spoke of the “UEFA variable” in these terms: “The moment the Italian sentences become definitive, then decisions will also be made in UEFA headquarters. And then there is the second strand of the salary maneuver. Juve excluded from the cups from UEFA? Possible scenario”.
And when asked if, without off-field events, Juve would have another championship, Christillin replied as follows: “Yes, I agree with Allegri, the team and the managers have been on a roller coaster since November 28 last year, everything fell at breakneck speed. Credit goes to Allegri for having maintained a relative balance: he was a coach but also a psychologist. All the powers were given to him, also because in the new governance there are no men on the pitch. Allegri did what he could: what was missing was the game, he saw very little of it. Allegri’s future? We’re talking about a lot of money, he has an onerous contract. From what I’ve read, I don’t know if he liked it until basically the question of Giuntoli’s possible choice”.
