The Polish Szymon Marciniak will be the referee for the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter scheduled for 10 June in Istanbul. Marciniak refereed the World Cup final in Qatar between Argentina and France. The Polish referee also officiated last Wednesday’s semi-final between Manchester City and Real Madrid, general rehearsal for Istanbul, as well as the second leg of the round of 16 between Porto and Inter on 14 March. With the 42-year-old Polish referee his compatriots Pawel Sokolnicki and Tomasz Listkiewicz as assistants, the Romanian Istvan Kovacs fourth match official, while the Poles Tomasz Kwiatowski and Bartosz Frankowski will be at the Var, together with the German Marco Fritz.

UEFA has appointed the English whistle Anthony Taylor to direct the Europa League final between Sevilla and Rome on May 31 in Budapest. International since 2013, the 44-year-old English referee has already directed six Champions League games and one Europa League match this season and his resume also includes the 2020 European Super Cup played in Budapest between Bayern and Seville and the 2021 Nations League final Spain- France.
