NetherRealm Studios has just announced Mortal Kombat 1 and we already know one of its big surprises: Jean-Claude Van Damme will appear in the fighting title. The famous actor and specialist in martial arts will finally join the fights of the franchise thanks to a very special content.
Mortal Kombat 1 will have a Kombat Pack, which will be included in various editions of the game. Said package will offer attractive content and its main addition will be a skin for Johnny Cage that will make the iconic character look like Jean-Claude Van Damme.
The actor has an interesting history with the franchise and fans will finally be able to see him as a character. His skin will be available from September 19, that is, from the game’s premiere. For now, a picture of the character has not been revealed.

What editions will Mortal Kombat 1 debut with?
The title will sell for $69.99 USD in a standard edition that will be available in physical and digital formats. There will also be a Premium Edition for $109.99 USD, which will include the base game, the Kombat Pack, early access from September 14, and 1,250 Dragon Krystals, the in-game currency.
Hardcore fans will be able to get the Kollector’s Edition for $249.99 USD. This exclusive bundle for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S includes everything from the Premium Edition plus a Liu Kang sculpt, a Liu Kang skin, 3 printed arts, a steelcase, and an additional 1,450 Dragon Krystals.
Finally, the aforementioned Kombat Pack with Jean-Claude Van Damme will also give early access to 6 additional characters and 5 post-launch Kameo Fighters. Surely this package can be purchased separately, but for now there are no official details about it.
