Suara.com – The Indonesian Minister of Trade (Mendag), Zulkifli Hasan brought together top Indonesian and Saudi Arabian businessmen at the Indonesia-Saudi Arabia Networking Dinner which took place in Jakarta.
On that occasion, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan brought together top businessmen from Indonesia and Saudi Arabia to sit at a table to improve and strengthen trade relations between the two countries.
In his remarks, Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan appreciated and thanked the delegations of Saudi Arabian and Indonesian businessmen for the success of the Indonesia-Saudi Arabia Business Forum. Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said that business people from the two countries were enthusiastic about establishing relations.
“It can be seen that business actors from both countries are very enthusiastic about establishing mutually beneficial business relations,” said the Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan, written on Wednesday (31/5/2023).

Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan acknowledged that Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have great potential for cooperation. Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said that in this case Indonesia and Saudi Arabia were also leaders in their respective regions and were actively building infrastructure in various sectors.
“However, the business that is currently developing between the two countries only covers the scope of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), Umrah and Hajj, as well as workforce,” said Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan.
On this occasion, the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia was accompanied by the Director General of National Export Development, Didi Sumedi. Meanwhile, top businessmen were present, Chairul Tanjung, Marthias Fangiono, Boy Thohir, Peter Sondakh, Anthony Salim, Umar Bakadam and other Indonesian businessmen.
On Tuesday (30/5/2023), Minister of Trade Zulhas opened the Indonesia-Saudi Arabia Business Forum and Networking with the theme “Reinforcing Bilateral Cooperation Through Trade and Investment” in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/5/2023).
Also present at the event were Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir, Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Bahlil Lahadalia, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Indonesia Faisal Abdullah H Amodi, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia to Jeddah Eko Hartono, and Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Arsjad Rasjid.
