The 2023 edition of the Big Ben Week opened its doors earlier this week in the heart of Paris. During the 4 days, NACON has invited the media and its international partners to take a look at its catalog of games, peripherals and accessories. The teams of the design and development studios are also on the road to introduce visitors to the innovative projects to which they have dedicated months of work. A VARIED AND EXPECTED LINE-UP
THREE GAMES PLAYABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME.
Once again this year Bigben Week offered visitors the opportunity to try out preview versions of various games. Among these the highly anticipated RoboCop Rogue City, first presented by the developers of Teyon, and Gangs of Sherwoodthe cooperative action game that revisits the legend of Robin Hood.
Introducing a more outlandish game world, ruled by zombies, Eko Software presented its creation ParadiZe Projecta game that straddles the hack’n slash and survival genres and is due out later this year on consoles and PC.
FOUR NEW GAMES ANNOUNCED:
– Asterix & Obelix: Heroes is an RP-based trading card game, set in the world of the indomitable Gauls. Developed by Jumpgate AB, the game will be available on all platforms in September 2023.
– Off-road racing will come to the fore this year, with Overpass 2. The racing and course tracking simulator developed by Neopica will return to consoles and PC on October 19, 2023.
– Both developed by the Tivola studio, Wildshade: Unicorn Champions e Animal Hospital they are games that children and families like. The first is a unicorn racing game set in a fictional world, while in the second, players take on the role of a real and fictional pet veterinarian. Both games are expected to release on consoles and PC in the fall of 2023.
A NEW PLAYABLE VERSION FOR 6 OTHER TITLES IN THE CATALOGUE
While both are set during World War I, that’s the only point they have in common. Ad Infinitum, the psychological horror game from the Hekate studio, and the survival strategy game War Hospital, each present a new playable version. They are out on September 14th and August 31st, respectively, on PC and consoles.
Sports gamers needn’t feel left out, with the chance to try out the newly announced DLC for Session: Skate Sim and new releases of cycling games Tour de France 2023 e Pro Cycling Manager 2023which offer more strategic gameplay, updated courses, and all of this year’s teams and racers.
Finally, on the eve of its official release, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is another heavily featured game, where players take control of the quest for Gollum’s Precious. Daedalic teams made the trip to showcase the game in its final form.
NEW PERIPHERALS AND ACCESSORIES FOR ALL GAMERS
With worldwide recognition among gamers for the quality of its controllers, NACON has continued to add loads of new products to its ranges.
NACON per Xbox
Launched in 2021, the family of official peripherals for Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One is enjoying great success in both Europe and North America. It now includes a brand new affordable and handy controller, the EVOL-X, due for release in September 2023. This will be available in classic black or white color schemes, as well as a number of new alternative versions, including clear with LEDs.
NACON per Nintendo Switch
The family of accessories for Nintendo Switch is one of the most complete on the market. A wide selection of compatible cases for the OLED model of Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch are presented at the event, many of them officially licensed (Metroid DreadTM, The Legend of ZeldaTM, Mario KartTM).
