Amazon has presented new Echo speakers in triple order, among which the Echo Pop stands out with a new, more compact and striking half-sphere design, and the new Echo Show 5 with a screen and greater speed and bass power.
Amazon’s hardware unit has been ahead of its usual calendar and, although it usually announces its main innovations at the company’s annual event in September, this Wednesday it surprised with the announcement of 3 new models of smart speakers.
The most prominent of the announced devices is Echo Pop, which constitutes a new shape format of the basic Echos, which used to be circular or cylindrical but in this case are more compact thanks to the semi-sphere shape that you can customize through covers.
In addition, new generation models of existing families are also included: Echo Show 5, the new version of the American brand’s smart screens with speakers; and Echo Auto, the series of voice-controlled speakers for vehicles.

Echo Pop: a compact semi-sphere for bedrooms or small apartments

Amazon has released Echo speakers in every possible shape, color, and spec before, but the new Echo Pop is a form factor you haven’t seen before.
It is a spiritual successor to the Echo Dot, known for its spherical design, although in this case the dial is split in half with a diagonal cut which directs sound at an angle of up to 180 degrees and makes the device smaller. The top has a light ring that shows Alexa’s status.
Echo Pop includes the Amazon AZ2 Neural Edge processor and has a front-facing speaker that offers powerful sound. The company ensures that the new format is designed for bedrooms, apartments or any small corner of the home.
Users can choose between 2 different colors of the Echo Pop –lavender and teal– and has a recommended price that starts at 54.99 euros. You can add covers with more color options (blue, red, orange, gray, lilac, purple and phosphorescent) that are purchased separately for 22.99 euros.

Amazon has also introduced the new Echo Show 5, the latest version of its smart display speaker, which improves both performance and sound quality compared to last year.
The new Echo Show 5 is 20% faster than the previous generation and features an updated speaker system with twice the bass power and clearer sound. It also includes a redesigned microphone array and the AZ2 Neural Edge processor.
Both the Echo Show 5 and Echo Pop support the open IoT standard Matter, making it easy to connect and control digital home devices from different brands.
The new Echo Show 5 is already on sale in Spain for a recommended price of 109.99 euros in white or black.

The third device launched by Amazon is the second-generation Echo Auto, a device designed to have Alexa voice assistant features while people are driving.
The new Echo Auto arrives with a new slimmer design and includes an adhesive mount to place it in the car. It has 5 built-in microphones that allow it to work even with music noise so users can everything from making calls to controlling connected devices with their voice.
The second generation Echo Auto is available in Spain in black for a recommended price of 69.99 euros.
