In these times when even the games have their own individual events, such as the Starfield Direct in June, those responsible for Alone in the Dark have announced the celebration of a digital event that will take place this week, where they expect to see new details of this rebbot of the classic IP survival horror which is now in the hands of THQ Nordic.
It is Alone in the Dark Spotlightthat’s the name of the event, will take place next May 26 and can be followed through regular channels such as YouTube or Twitch from 02:00 hours (early Thursday to Friday).
New details of the return of the horror series
According to this announcement, the event will try to “reveal answers to some of the the most pressing questions that surround the game”. That is to say, new features of the game are expected both at the narrative and playable levels. It is possible that a new gameplay of the game will be shown, part of the development process of this reimagining of the classic and, perhaps, it will finally stop a release date or window.

At the moment not much is known about the proposed game, but what we do know is that it will be a third person action game which will arrive soon PS5, Xbox Series X|S y PC, and which has been in development for about five years in the Swedish studio of Pieces Interactive, from THQ Nordic. The project is being led by Mikael Hedberg (Amnesia, SOMA), who is directing and writing, while Guy Davis (Evolve, Pacific Rim) is handling the monster designs.
