The singer-songwriter Kany Garcia recalled that his relationship with Alejandro Sanz began in 2008, when she was invited to open the concerts of the tour “More Tour”From there, the Spaniard recorded a couple of songs that she wrote for him and a friendship arose between them; that’s why the interpreter of “Today I’m leaving”, He understands how difficult it must have been for him to talk about the depression that he is going through and that he has spoken about on his social networks.
“We have this thing of seeing ourselves strong, of seeing ourselves emotionally and psychologically well for what tours, interviews, songs or albums are, but it is very complicated because one has to digest so many things at the same time, such as moods personal, but you have to be one hundred for the people, but it is that respect that one has for the public that makes us stop or make these types of announcements like Alejandro’s or seek help,” he said at a press conference.
The Puerto Rican explained that She has also gone through situations similar to those of Sanz, and although she has not reached the point of making it public, she has asked for professional help.; so recognize the courage it takes to be vulnerable to the world, especially when the spotlight is on you.
“It does not mean that I have not experienced this type of vulnerable situation, it is a lot and sometimes the public to whom one owes it, has a hard time understanding it. I really applaud artists like Alejandro a lot; the courage you have to have to write this , knowing that it would automatically be in the thoughts of many people and endure the avalanche of comments,” he added.
That is why Kany considers that her new single “Fuera de Servicio”, which she made within the regional Mexican genre; It is very good for his friend Alejandro Sanz, it is already a reflection of his rescue spirit: “I had to understand that people have their natural processes, that I have to respect them and allow people to be like this (sad); but I also I sing to myself on a lot of occasions when they ask me to be in such a country or answer interviews, realizing that I’m not well, that I’m exhausted and allowing myself to miss my family, or be sad for whatever reasons.”
Garcia just finished a tour of South America, with which he toured 15 different places in different countries, being the last ones in Chile, Uruguay and Argentina. And although the time she has had for herself is little, in August of this year she will restart with her 2023 tour, now to reach the United States and from October in Mexico, where she will have 10 presentations, one of them at the National Auditorium .
“Mexico is always and will be the root of my project, because my first album was in Mexico, just like my first hits. For me it’s always going back home and the family is getting bigger,” Kany said.
The singer pointed out that this has been a tour in which I have had to adapt, because in her visits to Argentina and Chile had to include songs that talked about certain circumstances that were happening in the place, for example in Argentina the phenomenon of migration is taking place and she has topics that speak about it, so for Mexico she will do the same by integrating mariachi music and inviting colleagues like Carlos Rivera o Nodal.
