Sumatra Voice – Tensions between Luhut Binsar Panjaitan and Andian Napitupulu are acknowledged to have occurred. There was tension between Andian and Luhut which was later revealed by Panda Nababn.
In his confession, senior PDIP politician Panda Nababan revealed that there was a moment when the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan and members of the DPR from PDI Perjuangan Adian Napitupulu met and became tense.
Adian also confirmed this by revealing that what Panda Nababan said was true.
“In the past, the intensity of meeting President Jokowi was 3 months, we discussed the issue of people’s land, Papuan political prisoners, sandalwood assets. Now Luhut thinks he should not bring trouble to the president,” Adian said as quoted from Total Politik,

“Then I asked Bang Luhut, what should I bring? Bring women? Bring money? I chose President Jokowi because I believe he can solve problems,” Adian answered.
After that, Luhut’s reaction turned out to be angry and bullying Adian.
“Maybe he’s angry and arguing, and that’s the way people are, I can’t be bullied like that,” Adian replied.
There was a commotion, the argument was broken up by the Panda Nababan.
“Until Bang Panda hit the table twice, he said ‘we are three Batak, can’t talk nicely’. But I admit, Bang Luhut respects Bang Panda, yes, it’s more of a coachman’s debate with high intonation,” Adian explained.

The commotion occurred about a year ago during the COVID-19 pandemic on the 5th floor of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the swimming pool area.
Panda Nababan said that at that time Luhut, who had just returned from China, invited Adian Napitupulu to discuss the issue of land acquisition for former Cendana assets in the Bogor area.
At that time, Adian thought that the Minister of Land, Sofyan Djalil, was not firm in the issue of land acquisition belonging to the Cendana family. Adian then asked Luhut to rebuke Sofyan Djalil.
Luhut then invited Adian Napitupulu to discuss the matter. Luhut then invited Panda to accompany him during the meeting at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Panda and Adian came to meet Luhut at the five-star hotel.
Luhut suddenly asked Panda and Adian not to give heavy thoughts to President Jokowi which caused problems.
Adian responded by saying he had never given President Jokowi any problems.
Luhut remained adamant that Adian and Panda should not cause trouble for Jokowi because that would trouble the President. Luhut said he was not happy. Not only that, Luhut also asked Panda and Adian not to call Jokowi as mas and others.
“I just went to the President, I called Mr. President, if you guys are as good as you are, what’s wrong with you,” said Luhut.
“Did you hear me, I said I would advise you,” Luhut said at the time.
Adian asked Luhut not to advise him.
Hearing Adian’s words, Luhut became emotional and issued threatening words to the 98 activist.
“You don’t fight me, I’m used to killing people,” said Luhut.
“So what do you think? Do you want to kill me? I’m also used to being threatened with death,” Adian replied.
Panda also tried to mediate by asking Luhut and Adian not to make a fuss.
“Don’t just pretend to be in power, the president has never complained about us,” Adian said.
Panda said Adian Napitupulu at that time had the courage to fight and argue against Luhut. Even though he was threatened, Adian still resisted.
“Don’t fight me, I can kill people,” said Luhut.
“Yes, finish it, am I afraid?” replied Adian Napitupulu.
