The Boogeyman, one of Stephen King’s most outstanding books, will go to the big screen. This says the cast about the chilling tape.
Stephen King’s stories have been known for decades because of how dark and interesting they can be. Also, the fact that the author uses several of humanity’s most traditional horror characters and puts them at the center of original stories is also striking. Thus, while waiting for the premiere of The Boogeymanthe cast resolved the doubts of those who do not know why they should see the new adaptation of King’s text.
“Everything the directors did. Yes, they are remarkable. They are noticeable in this movie. They are so frustrating because they are so good. So every night I would go home and question everything I was doing,” he said. Chris Messina, one of the protagonists. The actor is known for his appearance in Air, Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you and Birds of prey.

“They are remarkable human beings. They are really kind and cool. You know, Rob did a great thing, which isn’t always the norm. We had rehearsals, and those rehearsals lasted about two weeks, and we went to the aquarium and we went bowling. And we ate something, and when we got to the set, there was so much love and trust. And we had become a family,” he went on to say about the unity they created on set.
great pressure
On the other hand, already under the pressure of having a great classic horror book on his shoulders, the protagonist David Dastmalchian He referred to being part of the production. This interpreter was in The Suicide Squad, Intrigue and The Boston Strangler.
“There was an immense amount of pressure, definitely, from the fact that you are bringing to life a character created by the director’s imagination. But also, because the place Lester comes from is one of those corners of the human experience that no one would really want to spend time in. And so the challenge of having the courage to be willing to go there was the first challenge for me. I think he just didn’t feel like he had the ability, probably, to play Lester in a way that would do justice to the movie that Rob was going to make,” he commented on his involvement.
Was he going to make it?
In addition, he referred to the feelings of humility that he had for dealing with such a legendary character. In fact, he confessed that he let the team know: “And I have a long-time friendship with Dan, who we were talking to, you know, in the build-up to this. And I just said:I’m afraid“. He said, “Well, I want you to meet Rob and I think he’ll help you get the courage you’ll need,” and it worked. Because Rob is not only a brilliant and visionary filmmaker, but he has a heart that is just, you know, a really beautiful place,” he added.

Also, the actor already knew the story well. “Coming from the short film, which I was familiar with, I really enjoyed it, I always thought it was scary. I grew up in a part of the country with many “Lesters” that existed in the short story. And I wanted, and the way the script reflected this, to show what Lester might be like in a different time. Because it was probably written in the early ’80s, I think, late ’70s, until 2022, which is when we shot it. And I felt like there was a way to find something that all the viewers, it’s so hard. Because, like, you want the guy to convey that much information. And you just need the public to identify with it and not be a stereotype of any kind. I don’t know. It’s strange. Very complicated. It’s hard to talk about it, ”he insisted.
Finally, he revealed the key to everything: “But Rob was a great guide on that. And then Chris, as soon as I sat down with him, the energy that started to come between us was so powerful. I prepared myself of course, I had a lot of ideas and thoughts going into this. But you come along and you just put that aside. And you try to be present and be able to listen, and it was pretty impressive,” he concluded.
