During The Game Awards 2021 gala, Remedy Entertainment put an end to the rumors and finally confirmed the existence of Alan Wake 2, the new installment of the popular horror franchise. Details are scarce, but it is known that it will debut sometime in 2023.
Given the silence of the developers and the lack of news, the players began to believe that the project suffered a delay. However, the studio reaffirmed that the release window remains for sometime in 2023. Now, Matthew Porretta, who plays the lead, has revealed the supposed release month.

Alan Wake 2 will debut in October, according to actor Matthew Porretta
On the latest show of the Monsters, Madness, and Magic podcast, the actor was a guest and talked about various topics related to his career and his involvement in the horror video game. At one point in the talk, he revealed that the release date is scheduled for some time in October.
“I worked on it (Alan Wake 2). Now, we work on it. In fact, I was in Finland last week, that’s where the company is, Remedy. They are incredible people”, stated Matthew Porretta starting at minute 16:43.
Although the actor refrained from revealing more information about it, during the final stages of the interview he commented again that the title will be released in October of this year. “I’m working on that and I’ll be working more on Alan Wake 2, I think it’s supposed to be out in October, but I don’t know the exact time,” he said.
