As must happen to many gamers who are fans of shooters and especially the Call of Duty saga, there are sounds that should transport them to their past experiences, playing some of these titles some 10, 15 or 20 years ago. One of those sounds is, for example, that of the MP5K from Modern Warfare 2 from 2009, which is still one of the favorites of many fans of the franchise and that they will now be able to remember thanks to the nostalgic “Retro Pack: Weapon Sounds of 2009”, which has been announced by Activision.
According to a post on the official Call of Duty blog, “the ultimate taste of nostalgia arrives with Season 03 Reloaded,” which will be a mid-season update, arriving on May 10. This is a retro cosmetic pack containing weapon sounds from 2009, which the developers say will take you back to the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009). These include two weapon blueprints, the “Good ‘Ol Days” assault rifle and the “Lachmann Classic” submachine gun, complete with their usual accessories and retro sounds from the original Call of Duty era.
You can read: The CMA claims that Microsoft’s argument for bringing Call of Duty to Nintendo is unfeasible because the Switch would be unable to run the game well.
And while Activision doesn’t make it clear which weapons these weapon blueprints apply to, it could be deduced that the SMG Lachmann Classic is probably referring to the 2022 version of the MP5 from Modern Warfare 2, since it makes a lot of sense that the first Retroactive Audio Pack Bring back that flavor of nostalgia, thanks to the sound of one of the most iconic weapons in the series.
A package that will clearly have a real money value, which PC Gamer assumes will cost between $15 and $20 dollars and that in one way or another, puts these nostalgic sounds from the beloved 2009 game in a bottle and sells them to those who want to uncover it and thus remember old times.
