For years we have been able to see how The John Wick movies have become a success and an action movie icon, thereby giving rise to the fact that he was already loved in itself, Keanu Reeves’ career has only gone up a few steps by playing the homonymous character known as Baba Yaga in the films. Regarding the information offered, it must be said that the information comes in this case from Joe Drake, president of Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group, who declared during a recent meeting with company shareholders that Lionsgate will enter the video game industrybeing that John Wick would be the IP that would debut in this medium while, in parallel, they look for how to expand the franchise.
It should be noted that the latter implies that one could take spin-offs and television series, being that the study of the audience would be essential to determine which media should be addressed. Now, this does not mean that it is not the first time that we see how the name of John Wick and video games are related, since, after all, in November of last year the executive director of Lionsgate, Jon Feltheimer, also expressed interest in a large adaptation in the form of a video game, even going so far as to mention that proposals were submitted.
