LONDON – The British government’s atrocities against Muslims have been in the world’s spotlight for the last few decades.
Even though Britain is often seen as a democratic and liberal country, in reality many of the policies and actions of the British government have harmed Muslims and worsened their living conditions.
The following is a list of British atrocities against Muslims:
1. Occupation of Palestine by the British
In 1917, the British occupied Palestine and made a promise to the Jews to establish a state in the area.
This decision was very detrimental to the Palestinian Muslims, because they had to experience expulsion and prolonged oppression by the state of Israel which was finally formed.
This has led to protracted conflict in the region and continues to worsen the condition of the Muslims there until now.
2. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq
Britain participated in the US invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 and the war in Iraq in 2003.
These two wars caused heavy casualties and damaged infrastructure in these countries, and worsened the security situation in the region.
The Muslims there have become victims of this conflict, both as direct victims and affected by the poor economic conditions.
3. Anti-Radicalization Program
The UK launched an anti-radicalization program aimed at tackling the problem of extremism in the country.
