Erdogan will use the Ukraine and Russia War to great advantage for Türkiye.
Erdoğan built a domestic defense industry and is ready to market it to Ukraine. One of the mainstays is the sale of drones.
According to DW, drones made in Turkey have proven to help Ukraine overcome missile attacks and destroy Russian tanks. The drone that Erdogan is proud of is the Bayraktar type TB2. “The Bayraktar TB2 did what it was supposed to do – stopped some of the most advanced anti-aircraft systems and advanced artillery and armor systems,” said Selcuk Bayraktar, designer of the Bayraktar drone.
Bayraktar explained, their drones have shown how technology revolutionizes modern warfare. “The whole world is now (want to be) a customer,” he added. The TB2 drone has a wingspan of 12 meters and can fly up to 25,000 feet before diving in to destroy tanks and artillery with laser-guided bombs.
