Marotta, Ausilio and Baccin will dissolve the ballot in the next few days, while the club of Pagliuca and Percassi already has an agreement with the former manager for 33 years in the Inter academy
Roberto Samaden will be the new manager of the Atalanta youth sector from 1 July. He had already warned Inter managers in early March that he would not renew his contract expiring on June 30 because, despite the proposal to continue his work at the Facchetti Center, he wanted to go in search of a new professional adventure. In recent weeks he has received some offers, including to assume the position of general manager of a couple of Serie B clubs, but in the end he opted for the proposal from Atalanta, the club where he will replace Maurizio Costanzi. And Inter? Andrea Catellani, now at Spal, has been in pole position for Samaden’s replacement for a long time, but in recent weeks the name of Massimo Taratino has emerged decisively, in recent years at the helm of the Bologna and Roma youth teams. These are two very different profiles: Tarantino has more experience, Catellani has more innovative ideas. Marotta, Ausilio and Baccin will choose in the coming days, probably after the return match against Benfica.
NEW ADVENTURE
—
Samaden spent 33 years at Inter and in June he will separate from the Viale della Liberazione club amicably. Not surprisingly, before signing the contract with Atalanta, he wanted to communicate the decision made to Zhang’s club. Since 2012 Samaden has been at the helm of the Nerazzurri singer with whom he has won 16 league titles and played in all 22 finals for the tricolor. In the history of Italian youth football, no one has such a list of triumphs. During his “reign” players such as Federico Dimarco, Federico Bonazzoli, Cristiano Biraghi, Andrea Pinamonti, Davide Faraoni, Alfred Duncan, Cesare Casadei, Marco Benassi, Daniel Bessa, Wilfried Gnonto, Michele Di Gregorio and Giovanni Fabbian as well as the Esposito brothers and the Carboni. Now he will move about forty kilometers from Interello, to the technical center of Zingonia, and will continue to do what he did for years at Inter: find talent and nurture them, perhaps even winning trophies. A great acquisition for the Pagliuca and Percassi club.
