Actor Ryan Reynolds says Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be something completely new in Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 is probably one of the most anticipated films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in recent years, but also, when it was confirmed that Hugh Jackman would return as Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynolds, fan expectations skyrocketed. That is why it is interesting to know the details that the protagonists reveal.
In a recent interview with ETC, Ryan Reynolds was asked about the posts that Hugh Jackman shares on his social media where he is hard-trained to play Wolverine.
“I try to be on his level… But Hugh Jackman is a beast, you know? He is clearly obsessed with his own body. So keeping up with someone who is so diligent is going to be a challenge.”
“It’s been fun. I mean, he and I are very excited. We’ve wanted to do this for a decade. So to have this opportunity now is, I think strangely, the perfect time. I mean, I never stopped. I’ve been pestering him like a mosquito for the past few years. I believe in time… And I think he was ready.”
“I think he was excited. And what we presented to him was just enough of a divergence from the character that he knows and the character that he left behind that it gives him something completely new to play and something that he’s really excited to do.”
So it will be very interesting to find out what Ryan Reynolds has prepared for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

What will the movie be about?
For now, there are very few details about the plot of Deadpool 3, so we only know that the director will be Shawn Levy, the man behind The Adam Project (2022), Free Guy (2021), the Night at the Museum trilogy (2006 , 2009 and 2014) and Pure Steel (2011).
In the cast, for now Ryan Reynolds has been confirmed as Wade Wilson, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Matthew Macfadyen, Emma Corrin and Leslie Uggams. In addition, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus (voice), Karan Soni as Dopinder, Zazie Beetz as Domino, and Josh Brolin as Cable could also return.
As for the plot, supposedly Wolverine and Deadpool will start a journey through the multiverse that will take them to the Land of the Avengers. So it should not be ruled out that they will also repeat in events as brutal as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2025) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2026).
