COLIMA – A cockfight in the city of Colima, Mexico, turned into a bloodbath after the rooster confronted his master.
The news was announced by the local media. Footage from the cockfighting venue which circulated online on April 4, 2023 shows two men pitting their roosters against each other to fight.

The chickens appear to sport artificial spurs that are as sharp as knives, allowing them to deal maximum damage to their opponents.
However, one of the roosters decided to attack his master instead of the other cock, scoring several punches to his master’s leg in a matter of seconds.
The rooster’s owner finally got a hold of his cock, with the opposing cock taking the opportunity to deliver some bloody attacks on it.
The man also suffered an arm wound in the fierce battle.
The man then fell to the ground with blood flowing from his feet, as the rooster appeared to have pierced a large vein.
The cockfighting spectators then rushed to bandage the man’s legs, dragging him out of the cockfighting location.
Additional, very graphic footage taken after the incident shows the man suffering from at least three deep cuts in his leg.
Cockfighting remains legal, or, at least, tolerated in most of Mexico. Fights regularly take place during regional fairs and other celebrations.
