Former MotoGP champion Valentino Rossi and owner of the VR46 team: “I don’t think the contract with Ducati will change, and we always want to stay ahead…”
Valentino Rossi in an interview with Sportweek seems to definitively close the doors to a landing of the VR46 team in Yamaha, at least in the next season: “We have a three-year contract with Ducati, also for 2024, and I don’t think that will change” .
According to rumors, Yamaha would be willing to assign factory team status, but the Doctor is doubtful: “It’s difficult to be a factory team, because for me they’ll always make the factory team. We’ll see for the future. With Yamaha it would be nice “But we need to see how competitive the bikes are. We want to go to the races hoping to finish up front,” he warned.
