Suara.com – The United Development Party (PPP) has officially declared Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election. Chairman of the PPP Advisory Council, M Romahurmuziy alias Rommy, acknowledged that there were many names for vice presidential candidates that could potentially be proposed by PPP to accompany Ganjar.
Rommy mentioned several names that could potentially fill the cawapres candidates to accompany Ganjar. They are Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya, Said Aqil, Gus Yaqut, Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Sandiaga Uno to Erick Thohir. 1. Gus Yahya
Yahya Cholil Staquf, also known as Gus Yahya, is a scholar who currently serves as General Chair of the Nahdlatul Ulama Board (PBNU) for the 2022-2027 period. Previously in the 2015-2021 period, he served as Katib ‘Aam PBNU.

Gus Yahya is the older brother of the Minister of Religion, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas. He is also one of the caregivers at the Roudlotut Tholibin Islamic Boarding School, Leteh, Rembang, Central Java.
In his political career, Gus Yahya was the spokesman for President KH. Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur). Then on May 31 2018, he was appointed by President Jokowi as one of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) at the State Palace, DKI Jakarta.
2. Said Aqil
Said Aqil Siroj, MA is the former general chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Board (PBNU) for two periods 2010-2021. Currently he serves as Mustasyar (advisor) to the Nahdlatul ‘Ulama Executive Board for the 2022-2026 period.
In addition, Saiq Aqil also holds the position of Chancellor of the Nahdlatul Ulama University (UNU) Cirebon as well as Leader of the Luhur Al-Tsaqafah Islamic Boarding School, South Jakarta. Currently he also serves as the main commissioner of PT. Indonesian Railways.

3. Gus Yaqut
Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, also known as Gus Yaqut, has been the Minister of Religion in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet since 23 December 2020. He has also been the general chairman of the Ansor Youth Movement since 2016.
Previously he was a member of the DPR from the National Awakening Party (PKB). He is the son of KHM Cholil Bisri and the younger sibling of the chairman of PBNU, Dr. KH Yahya Cholil Staquf and nephew of KH Musthofa Bisri.
In addition, Gus Yaqut was Deputy Regent of Rembang for the 2005–2010 period. He was also a member of the Rembang Regency DPRD for the 2004–2005 period.
4. Khofifah Indar Parawansa
Khofifah Indar Parawansa has been the Governor of East Java since 13 February 2019. She served as the 27th Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs in 2014-2018.
One of Khofifah’s track records was to become the 5th Minister of State for Women’s Empowerment during the era of President KH. Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur. Khofifah is also the youngest minister in the cabinet.
In 2014, Khofifah was appointed by President Joko Widodo to become Minister of Social Affairs in the Working Cabinet. However, in 2018, Khofifah resigned from her position due to participating in the 2018 East Java gubernatorial election.
5. Sandiaga Uno

However, in the middle of his tenure, Sandiaga withdrew from running as a vice presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election. He began to enter politics as a cadre of the Gerindra Party formed by Prabowo Subianto. Serving as deputy chairman of the Gerindra Party advisory board, Sandiaga left the political party on Sunday (23/4/2023) yesterday following the news of joining PPP.
6. Erick Thohir
Erick Thohir has been Indonesia’s Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) since 23 October 2019. He has also been a member of the International Olympic Committee since the same year.
Previously Erick served as Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee between 2015 and 2019 as well as Chair of the 2018 Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC). He is also the chairman of the Joko Widodo-Ma’ruf Amin National Campaign Team in the 2019 Indonesian presidential election.
Since 16 February 2023, Erick Thohir has served as General Chair of PSSI. He has also served as General Chair of the Sharia Economic Society since January 23, 2021.
