Toprak Razgatlioglu wants MotoGP
Toprak Razgatlioglu, interviewed by ‘Speedweek’, openly stated that he wanted to make the leap from Superbike to MotoGP at the end of this season, the last one which sees him contractually linked to the Pata Yamaha Prometeon team, one of the protagonists of the championship dedicated to series.
“I don’t want to announce anything – began the Turkish rider -, but I dream of racing in MotoGP. In 2021 I was Superbike world champion, now I look at MotoGP and think: ‘Why not try there?'”.
Razgatlioglu’s first choice would be Yamaha to continue the relationship born in 2020, but it’s not certain that staying in the house with the three tuning forks is the only possible solution: “I can play my chances as a Yamaha rider, but if he doesn’t I could look to other manufacturers. My dream is to fight at the top of the MotoGP, maybe win the title: so yes, I’m aiming to race there next year. It’s still too early, however, to say what will happen.”
