Danilo’s contacts on Orsolini and Lucumi on Milik are punished remotely due to a monitor failure
Two unusual cases during Bologna-Juventus: in the 7th minute Orsolini fell to the ground after Danilo’s intervention. For the referee Sozza there is no penalty, but it is checked at the Var. The video however, as communicated to the benches before the match, does not work. In this case, by regulation it is the Var that decides remotely. Mazzoleni therefore reviews the action at the Var center Lissone, Danilo’s intervention on Orsolini is considered foul and therefore it is decided for the penalty kick. Bologna unlocks it from the penalty spot.

Remote penalty also for Juventus. After half an hour, Milik was knocked out across the penalty area by Lucumi. Sozza awards the penalty but it is corrected because the foul contact takes place right on the area line. Another penalty awarded from a distance, but this time Milik failed with a tragicomic execution.
