Denpasar Sound – The National Highest Performing Regional Government Award was won by the Mayor of Denpasar I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara at the XXVII 2023 Regional Autonomy Day (Otda) Commemoration Peak in Makassar along with 10 other cities in Indonesia.
“The Denpasar City Government continues to be committed to implementing a leadership system that is honest, nurturing and fair,” Jaya Negara said. As quoted by Antara, Saturday (29/4/2023).
According to Jaya Negara, the government system in Denpasar has undergone quite a lot of transformations. and innovating with the spirit of Sewaka Dharma and Vasudaiva Kutumbakam or serving is an obligation and working together and embracing braya, the government of Denpasar City continues to get better.
Tito Karnavian, Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia immediately handed over the award at the Losari Beach Pavilion, Makassar, South Sulawesi, Saturday (29/4/2023).

This award was given after going through the 2023 Regional Government Administration Evaluation (EPPD) stage and the City of Denpasar managed to rank in the top 5 nationally.
In addition, the results of the evaluation contained in the Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs No.100.2.1.3-1109 of 2023 concerning the Results of Evaluation of the Implementation of Regional Government in 2022 also mentioned 3 Provinces, 10 Regencies and 10 Best National Cities.
The Minister of Home Affairs, Tito Karnavian, expressed his appreciation to the Governors, Regents and Mayors who have been serious about running local government so as to be able to improve the welfare of their people.
Denpasar City is ranked 5th for the best city in Indonesia. Meanwhile, for ranks 1 to 4 are Semarang, Surabaya, Surakarta and Bogor City.
Under the City of Denpasar there are still several other best cities, such as the City of Makassar, Serang, Tangerang, Medan and the City of Pare Pare.

“The award received must be a trigger for all staff to continue their commitment to advancing the region,” said the mayor of Denpasar.
According to him, innovation and creation both in the form of policies and all forms of output to the regions must always be increased to provide the best service for the community.
“Thank you for the award given to the Denpasar City Government. Of course in the future this is a challenge for the Denpasar City Government to be able to continue to improve performance to be even better for the benefit of the people of Denpasar City,” he said.
