GARUT VOICE – Desperate to swim in a restricted area, two tourists from Garut Regency were swept away by the waves.
The two victims who were swept away by the waves were named Firmani (17) and Muhamad Hisam (17), both of whom are residents of Cisampih Village, Cihaurkuning Village, Malangbong Garut District.
Together with three other colleagues, the two victims swam at Bobos Beach, Santolo Village, Pamalayan Village, Cikelet Garut District on Wednesday (26/4/2023).
While swimming, suddenly a wave came and dragged the two victims away.

It is known that the two victims were students from the Roudhotul Mutawassilin Islamic boarding school, Cianjur Regency.
Head of Water and Air Police Unit (Polairud), AKP. Anang Sanjaya confirmed the incident. “It’s true that there were two tourists who were swept away by the waves on Bobos Santolo beach while they were swimming,” he said.
Anang added, together with other joint officers, he had made a search effort, but there had been no results.
Due to bad weather, the search was stopped and will continue tomorrow morning, he added.
Anang also appealed to all tourists to always be careful when swimming at the beach.

Do not occasionally swim in restricted areas and must always obey the rules and appeals from officers for the safety of all, he concluded.
