Steenwijkerland is over: there will be large windmills after all

“We don’t want to, but we have to.” With this reasoning, a large majority of the council agrees with the arrival of large wind turbines in Steenwijkerland. In order to meet the targets for sustainable energy, Steenwijkerland cannot manage with solar energy alone and at least seven large wind turbines must be added. The condition is that the wind turbines come into local hands, and the surrounding area benefits from the proceeds.
