GARUT VOICE – Indonesia has successfully passed a number of top players in the round of 32 at the Dubai Badminton Asia Championships 2023.
A number of mainstay players are still too strong to be beaten by their opponents.
Like players in the men’s doubles sector, the pair Fajar/Rian and Hendra/Ahsan easily qualified for the round of 16.
The following is a complete review of the players who made it through to the round of 16 at the Dubai Badminton Asia Championships 2023 today, Wednesday 26 April 2023:

1. The first women’s doubles to qualify for the last 16 was the pair Febriana Dwi Kusuma/Amalia Cahaya Pratiwi defeating the Chines Taipei pair Chang Ching Hui/Yang Ching Tun with a score of 23-21, 14-21 and 21-15.
2. The men’s doubles won by Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Bagas Maulana against Singaporean Jun Liang Andy Kwek/Loh Kean Hean with a score of 21-19, 21-15.
3. Gregoria Mariska Tunjung made another surprise after defeating Chines Taipe in the women’s singles sector with a score of 19-21, 21-11 and 21-7.
4. Another easy win was achieved by another men’s doubles, Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan against United Arab Emirates Dev Ayyappan/Dhiren Ayyappan with a score of 21-14, 21-17.
5. The next ticket was won by Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo who beat Kazakhstan Panarin with a score of 21-13 and 21-11.

6. Then there are Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari from the mixed doubles sector who managed to beat Chamath Dias/Natasha Gunasekera from Sri Lanka with a score of 21-8, 21-12.
7. From the women’s singles sector, Komang Ayu Cahya Dewi managed to beat Indian player Aakarshi Kasyap with a score of 21-6 and 21-12.
8. Women’s doubles sector Meilysa Trias Puspitasari/Rachel Allessya Rose managed to beat Indian players Ashwini Bhat/Shikha Gautam with a score of 20-22, 21-12 and 21-18.
9. Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto defeated China’s top players, He Ji Ting/Zhou Hao Dong with a score of 21-16 and 21-18.
Those are the 9 players who made it to the last 16 of the Dubai Badminton Asia Championships 2023 first.
