Denpasar Sound – The district led by Badung Regent Nyoman Giri Prasta is one of the richest districts in Indonesia.
Even so, the Badung Regency Government has reportedly been in arrears in paying the teacher’s income allowance (TPG) for a number of times since January 2023.
This condition has also made Deputy Chairman I of the Badung DPRD, Wayan Suyasa concerned. He then asked that teacher rights be disbursed immediately.
According to the chairman of the Golkar Badung DPD, teachers are one of the human resources tasked with educating the nation’s generation.

Therefore, it needs to get more serious attention besides other things that also need to be prioritized.
“Don’t just pay attention to facilities and infrastructure. Human resources must also be considered,” said Wayan Suyasa, Friday (28/3/2023).
Suyasa further said that the National Education System has been very clear in mandating a minimum of 20 percent of the APBD to be allocated to education.
“Sidiknas clearly mandates the portion of the budget for education to be at least 20 percent of the regional budget. We, as the council, encourage the government to immediately disburse TPP for elementary teachers in Badung Regency,” said the member of the Badung DPRD for the 3rd period.
As DPRD, Serasa wants clarification regarding the TPG for elementary school teachers in Badung Regency.

The Badung Regency Government confirmed that teachers had not received TPG through a government spokesperson, Head of Protocol and Leadership Communications Unit, Made Suardita.
“This is still in process, teachers are expected to be patient. Because the data from the center has not come out all. If all the data comes out of the new center, we will hand it over,” explained Made Suardita.
