Overijssel is this year’s guest province for celebrating the liberation on May 5. This means, among other things, that the liberation fire will be lit first in our capital Zwolle. Prime Minister Rutte will do that. There will also be an official opening ceremony beforehand in the Dominican Monastery and there will be national attention for the Liberation Festival in Park de Wezenlanden in Zwolle. But it also includes tasks on the day before on May 4, such as assisting with the wreath laying on Dam Square.
